WONDER
Wonder was in a high kill animal control facility. He had little chance of being adopted because he has a severe visual impairment. Tater's Ark rescued Wonder from almost certain euthanasia.

Wonder is partially blind in both eyes. The vet tells us this could be congenital or it could be the result of a reaction to his early puppy vaccinations. Wonder will be evaluated by a veterinary opthamologist to determine if his sight can be restored through surgery.
UPDATE: Wonder was evaluated by Dr. Miller of Advanced Animal Eye Care in Memphis. He suffers from Endothelial Cell Dystrophy. WONDER IS HAVING SURGERY TO FULLY RESTORE SIGHT IN BOTH HIS EYES
MAY 20 TH! Lydia Grier of Po' Folks Rescue in Faulkner County Arkansas, a former military veterinarian, will care for him during his convalescence. If you would like to help with the cost of Wonder's surgery and recovery, click on the Donate button below to make a secure contribution. As always, your donation is tax deductible and greatly appreciated!
A very special dog trainer, Todd McCutcheon, has volunteered to help train Wonder after his surgery. When Wonder finds his forever family, Todd will work with them and Wonder together on proper lash manners, sit, stay and other basic obedience. If you need help training your dog, you can call Todd at (501) 413-8666.

ADOPTED!
OSCAR - From deathrow to happy home!
It was Oscar's last day. In fact he was scheduled to die at 8 am, but the animal control officers waited until Tater's Ark volunteers made their afternoon visit, hoping maybe they had found a home for Oscar.

Lauren, a Tater's Ark volunteer, opened her heart and home to Oscar. She was a wonderful foster Mom, teaching him to walk on a leash, and taking care of him until he was ready for a forever home.

Oscar went to Petsmart to meet possible adopters one Sunday. While walking down an aisle, he found a man and woman with two children. The little boy was a little shy of dogs, but that was ok because Oscar was a little shy, too. Soon Oscar and the boy decided they did not need to be afraid of each other. And, as they say, "the rest is history!" Oscar went home with his new forever family where they are all living happily everafter.
